LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube access.

Each platform has a proper admin route for a company page and a different story for personal profiles. This page gives you both, plus the one thing Instagram needs before ads or CRM messages will work.

LinkedIn

Company page: add a Content admin

LinkedIn pages have real admin roles, so no password moves. Content admin lets us draft, schedule and publish approved posts and reply to comments. Super admin is only needed if we manage the other admins or the page settings for you.

  1. Sign in to LinkedIn as a Super admin of the page. Open the page and click Admin tools (top right of the page, or the Settings item in the left admin menu).
  2. Choose Manage admins.
  3. Under Page admins click Add admin. Search for Stephen Ellul (profile linkedin.com/in/stephen-ellul). LinkedIn only lets you add first-degree connections, so connect first if you are not already.
  4. Role: Content admin. Save.

How you know it worked. The page appears in our "Pages I manage" list and we reply confirming we can open the post composer as the page.

If it fails. If Add admin is missing, you are a Content admin yourself, not a Super admin. Find the Super admin on the same Manage admins page and forward them this section. If the page was created by a leaver, LinkedIn's Request admin access from the page itself is the route; it goes to existing admins, then to LinkedIn if none respond.

Campaign Manager (LinkedIn ads)

  1. Go to linkedin.com/campaignmanager and open the ad account.
  2. Click the account name top left → Account settings → Manage access.
  3. Click Add user to account. Search for Stephen Ellul.
  4. Role: Campaign manager to build and run campaigns. Account manager only if we also manage users and billing contacts. Save.
  5. Billing stays on your card under Billing centre. We do not need access to it and charge no percentage of spend.

How you know it worked. The account appears in our Campaign Manager list.

If it fails. The ad account must be associated with your company page (Account settings → Edit account → Associated page) before the page's sponsored content can be used. If there is no ad account yet, create it from the same screen in your own name and currency before adding us; currency locks at creation.

Personal profiles: when we post as a founder

LinkedIn has no admin role for a personal profile, so if we publish approved posts as you, we sign in as you. This is the one place on this site where a password has to travel, and it travels under strict rules.

  1. Turn two-step verification off for the campaign window: Settings and Privacy → Sign in and security → Two-step verification → Turn off. LinkedIn may still email you a one-time code on our first sign-in; forward it when it lands.
  2. Share the password through onetimesecret.com, one link per profile, sent on WhatsApp or in a separate message from the email that carries the username. Never in the same email as the login.
  3. We post only what you have approved in writing. We never send or read private messages, and we never change profile details.
  4. When the campaign ends, change the password and turn two-step verification back on. We do not need to be told.

How you know it worked. We reply confirming the sign-in succeeded and that the first approved post is scheduled.

If it fails. LinkedIn's sign-in checks sometimes ask for a code sent to your phone even with two-step off. Send it when it arrives; do not reset the password mid-way.

If we run outbound outreach from your profile

The outreach tool never sees your LinkedIn profile. You install a one-click browser extension on your own machine, signed in as yourself, and the approved sequence runs from your browser while it is open. Connection requests and messages go out under your name; replies land in your own LinkedIn inbox and you answer them from your phone or the site. Private messages never enter the tool. One profile is enough, and it should be a real person, not the company page: people reply to people.

TikTok

TikTok Business Center: add us as a partner

The same idea as Meta: your Business Center owns the ad account and the TikTok account, and it grants a partner business access to specific assets. You own everything; we get a seat.

  1. Sign in at business.tiktok.com as an admin of your Business Center. If you have none, create one with your company name; it takes two minutes and you own it.
  2. Left menu Users → Partners → Add partner.
  3. Enter our Business Center ID (below), then Next.
  4. Under Assets, tick the Advertiser account with the Operator role, and the TikTok account if we post or run Spark Ads. Click Confirm.

We send you our Business Center ID in the onboarding email. Paste it here when you reach this step.

How you know it worked. The Growth Bully appears under Partners with the assets listed, and the ad account shows in our Business Center within a few minutes.

If it fails. "Partner not found" means the ID was mistyped or you are in a Business Center that is not the one that owns the ad account; check the selector top left. If there is no ad account, create it under Assets → Advertiser accounts → Add → Create in EUR and your own time zone before adding us; both lock at creation.

TikTok Ads account and payment

Ad spend goes from your card to TikTok inside your ad account. Add the card under Ads Manager → Payment; a new account usually needs a prepaid balance before the first campaign can run. We cannot see or change the payment method and charge no percentage of spend.

Instagram

Instagram is not granted on its own. It comes with your Meta Business Manager, and two things must be true before either ads or CRM messages work: the account is a professional (business) account, and it is linked to your Facebook Page. Without that, Instagram placements fail at launch and the CRM cannot connect Instagram direct messages.

  1. In the Instagram app: profile → three lines → Settings and activity → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account → Business.
  2. When prompted, connect the Facebook Page that lives in your Business Manager. If you skipped that screen, do it from the Page: Facebook Page → Settings → Linked accounts → Instagram → Connect account.
  3. Add the account to the Business Manager and assign it to us with Create ads (and Content if we post): the steps are in section 4 of the Meta page.
  4. For CRM direct messages, finish Step 5: Instagram connects through the Page, so the link above has to exist first. In the Instagram app also allow message access: Settings → Messages and story replies → Message controls → Connected tools → Allow access to messages.

How you know it worked. The Instagram account is listed under Business Settings → Instagram accounts with your Page under Connected assets, and Step 5 shows Instagram as Connected in the CRM.

If it fails. "This Instagram account is already connected to another Page" means a previous agency or a leaver linked it elsewhere. Disconnect from that Page first (Instagram → Settings → Accounts Centre → Accounts) and reconnect to yours. If the account is a Creator account, switch it to Business; some features are Business only.

YouTube

A YouTube channel can have managers only if it is on a Brand Account, or if channel permissions are enabled in YouTube Studio. Either way, you add a Google account with a role; no password moves.

  1. Sign in at studio.youtube.com as the channel owner.
  2. Settings (gear, bottom left) → Permissions.
  3. Click Invite. Enter stephen@thegrowthbully.com.
  4. Role: Editor to upload, edit metadata, thumbnails and end screens, and to schedule. Manager only if we also manage other users. Click Done.

How you know it worked. The channel appears in our YouTube Studio account switcher and our address is listed under Permissions.

If it fails. If Permissions is missing, the channel sits on a personal Google account without the feature. Move it to a Brand Account first: YouTube → Settings → Advanced settings → Move channel to a Brand Account, then add us under myaccount.google.com → Brand accounts → the channel → Manage permissions. Videos, subscribers and history move with it.

Common questions on this page

Can you post from our company LinkedIn page instead of a founder's profile?

Yes for company content, and that is the clean route: add us as Content admin and no password moves. For founder-led campaigns and for outreach, the personal profile is the point, because people reply to people. In that case the login travels through a one-time link and you change it when the campaign ends.

Do we need to give you Instagram access separately from Facebook?

Yes. The Instagram account is a separate asset in your Business Manager. It has to be a professional account, linked to your Page, added to the Business Manager and assigned to us. Skipping it is invisible until launch, when Instagram placements fail. The steps are on the Meta page.

What can you see on my LinkedIn if we run outreach?

Nothing that you do not see yourself. The extension runs in your own browser under your login; the tool receives who was contacted and who accepted, not your inbox. Private messages never enter it, and you reply to them yourself.

Why do you ask me to turn two-step verification off on LinkedIn?

Because a personal profile has no admin role, and two-step verification sends a code to your phone on every new sign-in, which stops scheduled posts going out. It is off only for the campaign window and only on profiles we post from. Turn it back on the day the campaign ends, together with a new password.

We have never advertised on TikTok. What do we need first?

A Business Center in your company's name, a TikTok account switched to a business account, and an ad account created inside your Business Center in EUR with your own time zone. Then add us as a partner. If you would rather we created the ad account, add us to the Business Center as an Admin person first and we do it with the settings checked.
